North California, a drive through the Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks
Driving through the national parks of North America
can be a very rewarding experience. Beautiful landscapes catch our eyes as we
enter these excellent and well-preserved natural areas, ultimate refuge for
wildlife.
My friend Jordi and I decided to go to the Yosemite
and Sequoia National Parks, situated in North California. This trip would be a
chance to see these natural areas in a State that takes very good care of its
parks.
We arrived in San Francisco and drove to Fresno.
The first day we decided to visit the Sequoia National Park, as it was only an
hour away from Fresno and we could see the beauty of the mountains and the
biggest trees in the world.
After the Sequoia National Park we decided to spend
a couple of days in the Yosemite. This is a bigger and more spectacular area as
it covers a great extension of land.
We couldn't see it all in one day so we decided to
stay one night in a colonial style hotel built inside the park in the 1900's.
Great
experience indeed. I recommend the visit and spend some time to discover what
the parks have to offer.
